Artist Talk with Dr. Marie Ramos

Throughout her distinguished career, she inspired generations of students, encouraging them to develop their creative voices and pursue their artistic passions. Presented in conjunction with her solo exhibition, Earthly Garden , this intimate conversation will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the inspiration and creative process behind Dr. Ramos’s expressive paintings.

She will discuss several of the techniques she uses to create luminous watercolor washes, intricate details, and richly imagined compositions inspired by flora and fauna. Look closely, how many hidden creatures can you discover within her work? This special gathering will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the California Arts Council and five decades of creative impact under the theme: Honoring Our Past, Designing Our Future For 50 years, the California Arts Council has championed the transformative power of the arts while celebrating and supporting California’s extraordinary cultural heritage.
